These images were captured in southern Colorado in or near Huerfano County at the foot of the Spanish Peak Mountains. I woke a resting antelope that day and was able to greet him eye to eye via my camera. He was beautiful. Up until this moment, I had found it very difficult to get close to these guys. I consider myself extremely lucky. These animals are under threat due to climate and habitat woes. It seems sometimes as though everything in nature is in this predicament. This is one of the reasons why photography has become my passion. At least I’ll have my images to look upon once everything is gone.
