“Taps” is so called: one – because of the obvious Eastern Flicker Woodpecker; and two – because taps is played at the end of the day to signal “lights out”, which is a metaphor for the season of fall and my menopause (lol). These images were captured near Rocky Mountain National Park between Lyons and Estes. The fall leaves floating on the running creek water while aspen leaves rustled in the wind was a remarkable musical ensemble. The flicker provided the percussion.
